Death is the only door that closes for good—until then, we begin again.” Simple words, but they landed like a lifeline.

She spoke them while standing at the edge—battling illness, confronting mortality, drowning in debt not of her own making, and carrying the silent weight of being a woman, a wife, a daughter. She had been made to feel that living for herself was selfish. And still, she fights on—moved by a belief in hope that hasn’t left her. Not entirely.

Pain does not lessen because another’s is greater. Yet the soul that can hold its own darkness and still wish light for another—that is rare. Lumière is the story of every soul who has walked through despair, carried the weight, and learned to mother itself. It means light in French—it is also her name. But more than that, it is a blessing: that even in our darkest moments, we remember—we are still here. And we can begin again.

For the longest, safest burn, we recommend following these tips:

A long first burn is NOT NECESSARY for this coconut-apricot wax candle because it doesn't tunnel.
Trim the wick to 1/4" (6mm) before each burn to prevent soot and excessive flickering.
Keep the wick centered for an even burn. If it shifts, gently reposition it while the wax is still soft. Never let the flame touch the sides of the jar.
Burn no more than 4 hours at a time, and discontinue use when 1/4" (6mm) of wax remains in the jar.
NEVER leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, fans, and flammable materials.
Allow the wax to cool completely before moving the candle.
To put out any candle fires, always use a fire blanket or fire extinguisher, NEVER use water.
